1890 - January 10, 1940

L. G. Hedges, 49, well known stockman of this community, died Wednesday evening at the Roan McMeekan home, on South Cimmaron. Death was due to heart attack suffered few hours earlier in Enid. He was brought to Hennessey by Perry Arnote, and old friend, and taken to the McMeekan home after receiving medical attention. He passed away at 7 o'clock. He had been afflicted with heart trouble for some time.

He is survived by his wife and one daughter.

Funeral services will be held at the Cordry & Young Funeral Home at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon, January 14. A second service will be held in the Henninger Funeral Home Chapel, in Enid, at 2:30. Interment will be made in the Enid Cemetery, beside his deceased son, who died about five years ago. Rev. Wallace Linton, of Union Chapel, will officiate at both services.
