Services for Mrs. Anna M. Hays, 94, 1320 W. Broadway, will be held at 2 PM Wednesday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James L. Christensen officiating. Entombment will follow in the Enid Mausoleum.
She was born in Wahoo, Nebraska, December 16, 1972. She was married to Dr. James H. Hays in Peru, Indiana, in 1899. They moved to Enid in 1916 where she lived until her death. Dr. Hays preceded her in death in November 1929.
She was a member of Central Christian Church, the Fine Arts Club, past state President of the PEO and past county co – chairman for the Republican Party in Garfield County, member of the DAR, and one of the YMCA founders in Enid.
Those who wish may make contributions to IOA Boys Ranch in lieu of other remembrances. The funeral home will act as custodian of the fund.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Hays, Enid; four grandchildren, Carl Hays, Boston; Robert Hays, Gainesville, Florida; Mrs. Don (Patsy) Stout, Kremlin and Janet Hays.
