Funeral services for Bertha R. Haynes, 66, 118 W. Locust, who died early Monday in a local hospital after a period of ill health, will be at 2 PM Wednesday in the East Maine Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Stan Yokom officiating. Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery, under the direction of the Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home.

Mrs. Haynes was born June 22, 1914, at Perry and grew up there. She and Donald A. Haynes were married August 29, 1937, at Kingfisher. Her husband died in January, 1980.

Mrs. Haynes moved to Enid from Colorado Springs. She was made a Deaconess in the Church of the Nazarene at Pawnee in 1954, was a member of the East Maine Church of the Nazarene and a Sunday School teacher. Those who wish may make contributions to the church in her memory, either direct or through the funeral home.

Mrs. Haynes is survived by a son, the Rev. Gene Haynes of Englewood, Colorado, a daughter, Carolyn Haynes, Los Angeles, California; three grandsons; two sisters, Violet Bishop, Enid and Emma Copeland, Alamogordo, New Mexico; three brothers, Earthman Reschke, Perry, Robert Reschke, Enid and David Reschke, Hotchkiss, Colorado.
