The funeral for Thomas Dow Hart, 89, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Marvin Goodpasture will officiate. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 7, 1916, north of Enid, to Ernest L. and Bernice M. McGeorge Hart and died Thursday, April 6, 2006, at his home.
He graduated from Enid High School in 1934 and later from Northwestern State College, Alva. During World War II he joined the Coast Guard and was stationed in New York City and New Orleans. He married Verda Watkins June 14, 1939. She preceded him in death.
He worked at Champlin Oil Co. as general credit manager, retiring after 35 years. While employed there, he was elected president of Southwest Petroleum Credit Association.
Surviving are two sons, Monte of Carl Junction, Mo., and Doug of Ponca City; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
In addition to his wife, Verda, he was preceded in death by one son, one brother and one sister.
