ENID — Bernice Evelyn Pitts Hart was born March 26, 1920, in Canton, Okla., to Marion Franklin and Olivia (Haffner) Pitts and died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, in Enid.
At age 6, she moved to Enid, where she attended and graduated from Enid High School in 1938.
On July 4, 1939, she married Donald Laroy Hart in Enid. They were married 61 years until his death in February 2001.
Bernice was a longtime member of Davis Park Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter and two brothers.
Bernice is survived by daughter, Donna Hart Bullis and husband Bill Bullis and son, Richard Hart and wife Grace Maria Hart, all of Enid.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012, in Enid Cemetery. Pastor Alan Seibel will officiate. Service is under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Memorials in Bernice’s name can be made through the funeral home to Davis Park Christian Church or Ross Hospice.
