February 4, 1937 - June 26, 2020

A Celebration of Life service for Laura Elaine Young Gosney, age 83, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with Rev. Wade Burleson officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Elaine was born February 4, 1937, in Enid, OK, to Ernest and Fern Marshall Rogers and passed away June 26, 2020, at The Commons.

She married Loyd Young in 1958, and he passed away February 11, 1986. She later married Ernest Gosney on October 3, 1987, and he passed away on May 5, 1997. Elaine was a charter member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she was very active in the nursery and choir. She worked as a secretary for Dense Mechanical for over 40 years.

Elaine is survived by her son, Steven and wife Renee Young of Enid; daughter, Gwen Bailey and husband Michael; stepson, Donald Gosney of Irving, TX; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Roberta Patterson, Connie Hamilton, and Iris Jackson; and numerous other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a great-grandchild, and stepson Gary Gosney.

Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Enid, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the fund.
