Obituary for Jo B George
Celebration of Life service for Jo George, 86, will be Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 2:00 pm in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Jo was born on March 15, 1934 in Grandfield, Oklahoma to Bud and Ida Hunter Tipton and died on October 28, 2020 in Enid.
She grew up in Garber and graduated from Garber High School. Jo raised her kids and worked in retail, retiring from Dillard’s. She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Jo enjoyed crocheting and embroidery.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ed, Harold, and Fred Tipton.
Jo is survived by her children, Donnie Woodruff and wife, Mona of Enid, and Sandra Seidle of Fowler, Colorado; one grandson, two great grandchildren; brother, Berry Tipton; sister and husband, Nell and Louigi Celiberti; many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to SPCA.
