The funeral for Susie A. Ford, 78, of Enid, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at First Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Barry Robinson will officiate. Burial in Enid Cemetery. Arrangement are under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Susie was born Oct. 18, 1933, in West Point, Miss., to Howard and LeeAnna Walker and was called home to be with the Lord Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012.

A longtime member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church and a pillar of the community, she will be greatly missed. She retired from Enid State School after 27 years of service. She was a devoted companion, mother, grandmother and friend.
She leaves behind her partner in life, Lester C. White; eight children: Kathleen Martin of Houston, TX, James Ford of Enid, OK, Timmy Ford of Enid, OK, Leslie Ford of Enid, OK, Sara Moore of Enid, OK, Carol Massenburg of Kernersville, N.C., Nancy Ford of Enid, OK, and Joan Ford of Enid, OK; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral Services for Susie A. Ford, age 78, of Enid, will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 1:00 pm at First Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Barry Robison officiating. The burial site, to be announced, under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Susie was born October 18, 1933 in West Point, Mississippi to Howard and LeeAnna Walker and was called home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2012.

A long-time member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church and a pillar of the community; she will be greatly missed.

She retired from the Enid State School after 27 years of service.

She was a devoted companion, mother, grandmother and friend. She leaves behind her partner in life, Lester C.
