Services for Susie Estill, 100, 2220 Indian, will be held at 2 PM Monday in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery.

Mrs. Estill died Friday evening at her home after a short illness.

She was born December 30, in 1882, near St. Elmo, Illinois, the daughter of Isaiah Sanford and Linnie May Hoar. The family moved to Butler County, Kansas, where they lived until the Cherokee Strip opened. Her father staked a claim near Carrier during the land run.

In 1907 she married William Estill, son of a pioneer family. He died in 1944. In 1953, she moved to Tulsa, then to Dallas and finally to Enid in 1981.

Mrs. Estill was the last surviving charter member of the Carrier Congregational Church. She was also a member of the Carrier Home Economics Club.

Her survivors are two sons, Edwin Estill and Bill Estill, both of Enid; six daughters, Dorothy Jeanne Estill, Enid, Mrs. James W. (Merle) Snider, Forsyth, Montana; Mrs. I. E. (Zollie) Larrabee, Kingfisher, Mrs. Robert (Iris) Anderson, Waukomis, Mrs. V. C. (Ruth) Bennett, Enid, and Mrs. Leon (Avis) Gage, Enid; 15 grandchildren and 19 great – grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter.

Memorials may be made to the Carrier Congregational Church.
