August 20, 1951 - May 24, 2020

A Celebration of Life for Patrice McCoy Dyer, 68, of Enid, is 1:00 pm, Friday, May 29, 2020 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Edmison officiating. Burial in Enid Cemetery will follow. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Patrice passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 24, in Enid, Oklahoma.

Pat was born in Columbus, Mississippi on August, 20, 1951, to Clayton McCoy, her father, and, Dorothy Huffman McCoy, her mother. Her father, Clayton, was a firefighter and was offered a position at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma in 1965. The family, including Ripley, her brother, and Linda and Diane, her sisters, moved to Enid, Oklahoma. Pat graduated from Enid High School in 1969 and then worked for several companies after that. She continued her education with classes at OT Autry Vo-Tech. Those classes afforded her a better career opportunity and she worked for The State of Oklahoma Department of Corrections as an Accounting Technician until she retired in December 2016 after 19 years of service. She was always helpful to her parents and her family. Pat had a generosity of spirit that was unmatched. She was always there for others and helped with the care of her younger sisters, also. She was completely selfless. She will be greatly missed. Pat and Phillip (Chuck) Dyer married and Dawn Renae was born a few years later. Pat found love that she had never imagined before. Pat and Chuck raised Dawn into the amazing woman she has become.

Pat is survived by her husband, Phillip (Chuck) Dyer, of Enid, daughter, Dawn Renae, of Yukon, stepsons, Keith Dyer of El Reno, and Travis Dyer of Enid, brother, Ripley McCoy, of Hunter, sister Linda Scott, of Hurst, Texas, and sister Diane Black and husband Steve, of Enid.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
