Caroline Drage, 69, 1125 N. Jefferson, died Sunday evening at a local hospital. Services will be 2 PM Tuesday at Enid Bible Church with the Rev. James Matheny officiating. Burial will be at Enid Cemetery, directed by Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.
She was born September 28, 1917, north of Meno to Abe and Lizzie Jantz. She attended schools in that area and moved into the town of Meno in 1935. She worked in Enid as a housekeeper and in the cafeteria of General Hospital. She also worked at Vance Air Force Base, later moving to Tucson, Arizona, and worked for the Air Force Base there. She returned to Enid and worked at Hedges Café. On August 3, 1947, she married Elmer E. Drage in Enid. She was a member of the Enid Bible Church where she served as a cradle roll teacher for 40 years.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis, of the home, and Ronnie, of Tallahassee, Florida; a daughter, Elizabeth Stevens, Waukomis; two brothers, Ben Jantz, Goltry, and Albert Jantz, Pond Creek; and a sister, Mrs. Edward (Esther) Penner, Springfield, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, in 1983 and a son – in – law.
