The graveside service for Bernice (Munkres) Crandall is 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, in the Chapel of the Enid Cemetery. Dr. Jarrett Banks and Pastor Shannon Spidel will officiate. Visitation preceding the service is 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.
Bernice was born Jan. 30, 1925, in Ames, one of ten children, to Elmer and Lucille (Weathers) Munkres, and passed away Jan. 8, 2017. Bernice married Eugene Crandall on Nov. 22, 1942, in Fullerton, Calif. She was a homemaker and seamstress. Bernice was a long-time member of the Sooner Sunday School Class at Central Christian Church.
She is survived by three daughter, Lavona Moseley of Enid, Sharon Matthews and husband Doug of Casper, Wyo., and Jana Spellins and husband Phil of Enid; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, four sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eugene, her son Darrell, her older sister Janice Griesel on Jan. 7, 2017(one day before her own passing), and another sister and three brothers.
Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to the American Cancer Society.
