He was born February 2, 1968 in Canyon Texas, and passed from this life on July 14, 2018 in Enid, Oklahoma.

At the age of six Christopher was adopted by Joedy and Junella Coffman of Enid. Chris attended the Oklahoma School for the Deaf in Sulphur, Oklahoma, graduating in 1987. He worked various jobs in Enid, the last being at Raymie’s restaurant at the Ramada Inn. He loved to fish, play darts, and hang out with his friends.

He is survived by three aunts, Jean Wolfe (Chuck), of Wichita, Kansas, Linda Davis (Kenny), of Haysville, Kansas, Sheryl James (Donald) of Enid and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his maternal grandparents, Lewis and Letha Cline Oakley, and his paternal grandparents, Ted and Gertrude Coffman.

Please remember Chris’ smile in happier times. He will be missed.

Many thanks to all his friends for their visits at the Garland Road Nursing Center, especially Loretta Flowers and her friend Christopher Varner; Dr Nabi; and the nursing home staff for their tender care in Chris’ final days.

Memorials may be made in his name to Our Daily Bread with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
