Graveside service for Glennace Buckles, 96, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at Enid Cemetery Chapel, with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Survivors include two sons, Dwight Buckles of Enid and Jerry Buckles of Perry, Okla.; six grandchildren, Brian, Beverly, Bobby, Melanie, Jayme and Ellen; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Romayne Baker of California and Phylis Brockman of Nebraska.Glennace was born Nov. 29, 1916, in Oakwood, Okla., the daughter of Alfred and Stella Eis Chain and passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, at her residence. She was united in marriage to Ira Buckles on Dec, 24, 1933, in Oakwood, Okla. He preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 1970. She was employed by St. Mary’s Hospital for 22 years. Her hobbies included gardening and oil painting.
Survivors include two sons, Dwight Buckles of Enid and Jerry Buckles of Perry, Okla.; six grandchildren, Brian, Beverly, Bobby, Melanie, Jayme and Ellen; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Romayne Baker of California and Phylis Brockman of Nebraska.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Janice Manley Cowan; a brother, Eldon Chain; and two grandchildren, Mark Manley and Blake Buckles.
