The funeral for Lea Mae Brueggemann, 67, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Kevin Ratterman will officiate. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery.

She was born June 30, 1939, in Fort Scott, Kan., to James Lenvil and Eula Veretta DeCroudes Duncan and died Saturday, May 5, 2007, at her home in Tahlequah.

She attended school in Kansas. In 1958 she married Merritt Laverne Withrow in Wichita, Kan. The couple made their home in Enid. She worked in day care as a child care provider. She married Michael D. Brueggemann Dec. 28, 1973. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and received several awards from Girl Scouts of America.

Surviving are three daughters, Leana Brueggemann of Enid, Lori Brueggemann of Jefferson City, Mo., and Michelle Stroup of Tahlequah; two sons, Merritt Brueggemann of Enid and Lenvil Brueggeman of Okla-homa City; two sisters, Donna Tregellas of Seattle and Carol Rigsby of Wichita; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Michael, two sisters and one brother.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, diabetes division.
