Funeral services for Lula Mae Stephenson Bowman, age 81, of Oklahoma City and Enid, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Dr. Richard Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Lula Mae Stephenson was born in Yale, Oklahoma on November 7, 1916 to William and Katherine Call Stephenson and died Friday, February 27, 1998, in Oklahoma City. She graduated from Enid High School and attended Oklahoma A. & M. She married Bernard Bowman on February 12, 1938 and he passed away in 1992. She served as secretary of the Oklahoma City Masonic Temple. She was active in Eastern Star and Beauceant. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by twin daughters, Bobbie and her husband, Jim Joyner of Remond, Wa. and Billie Whiteley of Oklahoma City; grandsons, Stephen Whiteley, James Joyner, Jr., and Bryan Whiteley; granddaughters, Tammy Fisher, Kendra Whiteley and Beth Ann Joyner; great granddaughter, Shannon Joyner and great grandson, Marc Whiteley; one sister, Dollie Harris and two brothers, Bural and Vincent Stephenson.

She was preceded in death by parents, brothers, Joe, Steve, Luther (Buck), and Mike, sisters, Gladys Parker, Laura Miller, and Della Driskell and son-in-law, Ronald Whiteley.

Memorials may be given to Mercy Hospice, 4300 W. Memorial Rd., Oklahoma City, OK 73120 or the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
