James A. Billson, 69, 102 E. Maple, died in a local hospital Sunday evening following a period of ill health.
Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 PM in the Enid Cemetery with Reverend Raymond Horner officiating, and burial under the direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.
Billson was born in California September 21, 1903. He moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he met and married the former Edith Wright in 1940. They lived there for many years, and he was an electrical contractor. They moved to Enid in 1962, and had lived here since that time. He was a carpet layer while in Enid.
Survivors include his wife, Edith, of the home; one son, Ralph Andrew Billson, Oregon; two half – brothers, Orval Gaster, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and George Hayes, Clear Lake Oaks, California; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Darneille, Oakland, California; and one sister – in – law, Mrs. Duane (Jean) Neahring, Enid. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one son
