The funeral for Forrest L. Billingsley Sr., 80, will be 2 PM Friday at Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Tom Peevyhouse will officiate. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery.
He was born July 19, 1919, in Ada to Jonathan and Winnie Joyner Billingsley and died Tuesday, October 5, 1999, at St. Mary's Mercy Hospital after a period of ill health.
He came to Enid 35 years ago from Shamrock, Texas. In 1965, he married Robbie Howell. He worked as a motor man in the oil fields and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He was a member of Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Robbie, of the home; one daughter, Sharron Calandar of Waukomis; three sons, Jessie Howell of Beaver, Forrest Billingsley Jr. of Enid and Edgar Bailey of McLain, Texas; one sister, Betty Hobbs of Shamrock; four brothers, Joe, Clarence and Lewis of McLain and Al of Pinrose, Colorado; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
The family will be at 2501 N. Cleveland, No. 1011.
