The funeral for Mrs. Pearl Gensman Bickel will be Saturday in the United Methodist Church, Reverend R. Jack Featherstone will officiate and burial will be in the Enid Cemetery.
The Henninger – Allen Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Bickel died Thursday morning in a local hospital. She was a native of Kansas and grew up west of Garber where her parents had purchased a relinquishment claim. She attended rural schools in the Garber area and graduated from the Enid General Hospital School of Nursing in 1920.
She and Glenn Dwight Bickel were married here on October 11, 1922.
Mrs. Bickel was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Red Rose Garden Club and was a former member of the Fourth District Nurses Association. A brother and a sister predeceased her.
In addition to her husband Glenn of the home, she is survived by a son, Glenn D. Bickel Jr., of Plainview, Texas; a brother, Riley P. Gensman of Logan; a sister, Mrs. Eva Garrison of Pearlland, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
