The funeral service for Mary Jo Beneditti, age 84, of Enid, will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 31, 2015, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Rev. Thomas House officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery. Visitation with family will be Wednesday evening 5:00 to 6:30 PM at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Mary Jo was born to H.H. and Rose (Reinkemeyer) Mack on November 13, 1931, in Bison, and passed away Monday, December 28, 2015, at her home in Enid.
Mary Jo grew up in the Bison area, and attended school at Hayward. She took care of her Grandpa and two of his sisters. She married Fred Decker, Sr. and they had three sons. After moving to Kansas, she worked at Key Manufacturing. Mary Jo married Charles Meek, and they had one daughter, three stepsons, and one stepdaughter. She worked at J.C. Penney’s, Pete’s Farmers Market, and Raleigh Bikes. On August 14, 1986, she married Frank Beneditti in Enid. . Mary Jo was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Frank, of the home; children: John Decker, Mike Decker, Charlene and Darren Littlecook, all of Enid, LaDonna and Steve Lesikar of Magnolia, Texas, and Cheryl Killam of Enid; sixteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; brother Lawrence Mack of Lucien; sister Carolyn “Kay” Hotson and husband David of Sand Springs.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, James and John Mack; two sisters, Virginia “Judy” Dick and Dorothy Horstman; son Ronnie Decker; and grandson Randall Decker.
