Mrs. Bill (Josephine) Barker, age 79 of 622 N. Eight, passed away at her home Saturday afternoon following a period of ill health.

She was born December 19, 1905 at Springfield, Missouri. She came to Enid in 1921 with her parents, Nathanel Fisk and Gertrude Fisk Treiber. She left Enid for a period of time and returned in 1958. She was a nurse at St. Mary's Hospital and Enid Memorial Hospital. She married Bill J. Barker on June 22, 1962.

She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Eastern Star Chapter 36, Postal Workers Auxiliary (Enid).

She is survived by her husband, Bill, of the home; a grandson, Jodie Park and his wife, Sandy, of Kennewick, Washington; a step – daughter, Mrs. Cecil (Yolunda) Hunt of Enid; two grandchildren, six great – grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Park; one son, Walter Edward Settles, and a brother, Howard Treiber.

Her funeral service will be Tuesday at 10 AM in the Ladusau – Evans Chapel with Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home. Those who wish may give to the Garfield County Hospice Association in her memory.
