Funeral service for Zeola Arndt, 105, of Enid, Okla., will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, October 5, 2015, at Brown Cummings Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Lesly Broadbent of Willow View United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Enid Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Family visitation will be 6-7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Zeola was born May 16, 1910, in Bison, Okla. to James Carl and Elizabeth Lamunyon Perry and passed from this life on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015.
Zeola attended Enid High School and was in the graduating class of 1929.
She married Harold Arndt July 21, 1930, in Watonga, Okla.. She worked at a bakery in Ponca City, and during the depression she moved to a farm in 1939. She loved working on the farm and also worked at Quality Baking Company on weekends for over 10 years before devoting her life to being a full-time homemaker. She was a lifelong member of The Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 36 of Enid.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth Perry; husband, Harold Arndt; and sister, Cleracy Dwyer.
She is survived by two sons, Gary J. Arndt, and Jere L. Arndt and wife Sherry; daughter, Carole Randle and husband Mike; two grandchildren, Robin Warren and husband Mark and Brian Arndt and wife Stacy; three great-grandchildren, Colin Arndt, Macey Warren and Bryn Warren; and many nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Circle of Love or Willow View United Methodist Church, with Brown-Cummings as custodian of funds.
