ENID — Funeral service for Joyce Elaine Anderson, 52, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Waukomis Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Marney officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Joyce was born Aug. 31, 1957, in Enid to Clarence Albert and Juanita Fern (Leslie) Coup and died Sunday, June 13, 2010, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.
She grew up in Enid and attended Enid Public Schools.
Joyce married Billy J. Anderson on May 30, 1973, in Enid. They lived in Riverside, Calif., Cocoa Beach, Fla., and then moved to West Palm Beach, where she worked at Everglades Country Club. In 1993 they moved to Waukomis . Joyce was a homemaker and a member of Waukomis Baptist Church, where she was saved and baptized in 1993. She was a member of American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Military Order of Purple Hearts, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Vietnam Veteran of America, Chapter 940 of Enid. In 2010, they celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Billy, of the home; one daughter, Juanita and husband Timothy McHenry of Enid; her father, Clarence A. Coup of Enid; four brothers, Jackie Coup and Johnnie Coup, both of Florida, and Jeffery Coup and Jimmie Coup, both of Enid; and nieces and nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her mother Juanita Geier.
Memorials may be made in Mrs. Anderson's memory to Relay for Life, America Cancer Society.
