The funeral for Opal E. Adams, 82, will be at 1 PM Saturday at Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home. Dr. Robert Montgomery, minister of First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery.
She was born November 12, 1910, at Tonkawa to Roy and Francis McReive Dowler and died Monday, January 11, 1993, in,Tacoma, Washington. She had lived most of her life in Enid and was married to Dude Adams. He died in 1968. She was a member of Enid Rebekah Lodge 21, was past noble grand and member of LAPM of the Lodge. She had been employed at Vance Air Force Base as cafeteria manager, then transferred to Tinker Air Force Base where she retired. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Rita Wilson of Tacoma, and Saundra Guthrie of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Edith Morrow and Dorothy Smith, both of Enid; four grandchildren; and three great – grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three grandchildren.
The family will be at the home of Edith Morrow, 611 W. Spruce.
