William Edward Abram, 89, 1308 E. Maple, died Thursday evening in a local hospital. His service will be at 2 PM Monday in the Fossett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. T. A. Chick officiating. Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery.
Abram was born December 30, 1888, at McKinney, Texas, and lived around that area until his marriage to Eva Pogue in 1915 at Sweeney, Texas. In 1917 he moved to Caddo County, Oklahoma, and a short time later moved to Kingfisher County where he lived for 20 years prior to moving to Enid in 1948. He worked for the Gold Spot Dairy until he was 65 years old at which time he retired. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Elvin, Wichita, Kansas, William, Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Dwayne, Bentonville, Arkansas; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (LaVada) Malone, Ames, and Mrs. Raymond (Genevieve) Crow, Enid; one half brother, Frank, McKinney, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and five great – grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Bible Baptist Church or to a favorite charity with the church or funeral home acting as custodian.
Family members are at the home of John Justice, 4519 Wheatland.
