A Celebration of Life for Nancy Allene Wright, age 89, of Enid, is 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2022, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, with Reverend Vernon Lee officiating. Burial will follow the service in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Nancy was born June 9, 1933, in Hominy, Oklahoma, to Eugene and Eula (Martin) Higgins, and passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022, in Enid.
She married Carol Wright on October 24, 1953, and they had just celebrated 69 years of marriage.
Nancy is preceded in death by her son, Ronald Wright; great-granddaughter, Kirsi Underwood; six brothers; and four sisters. She is survived by her husband Carol Wright, of the home in Enid, and four children, Debbie Underwood of Enid; Karen Hensley of Enid; Tim Wright and wife Amber, of Enid; and Narda Hoover and husband Bob, of Hunter, OK. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Patty Baldwin and husband Bill and JoAnn Hutson all of Euche, OK, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.
Memorial contributions in Nancy's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Michael J. Fox Foundation, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
