Johnnie Whitley
August 15, 1931 - June 28, 2011

The funeral service for Johnnie Whitley, 79, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jeff Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Johnnie was born Aug. 15, 1931, in Bridgeport, Ala., to Ralph Whitley Sr. and Jessie (Whetzel) Whitley and died Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at his home.

He attended Vo-Tech for mechanic training. On Feb. 23, 1952, he married Rosalyn Juidiciani in Utica, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He owned and operated J&R Automotive. He was a Juvenile Detention transportation Officer and Reserve Officer. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and former Pioneer Gunslingers.

Survivors include his wife, Rosalyn of 59 years of the home; daughter, Diana Bolser of Enid, Okla.; grandchildren, Thelma Salinas, Dana Baker, John Bolser; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol, Hellen and Marlene; brothers, Joe, Glen, Charles, Douglas, Stanley, Calvin and Ralph Jr., all of Alabama; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Katy Vance; and infant brother and sister.

Memorials may be made to Relay for Life.
