Funeral Services for Jane Ellen Wheeler, 66, of Fairview, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 26, 2023 in the Fairview First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Enid Cemetery, Enid, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.
Viewing will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, May 25th at the funeral home.
Jane Ellen Wheeler was born July 7, 1956 to Carlos Dean and Helen Ruth (Warkentin) Little in Pecos, Texas and passed away on May 20, 2023 at the Fairview Fellowship Home in Fairview, Oklahoma.
As a young child, Jane moved with her parents to Enid, Oklahoma where she grew-up and attended school. After she completed school, she married Bernard E. Wheeler Sr. on August 17, 1973, who was the love of her life. To this blessed union was born three boys, Bernard, James, and John Wheeler and one daughter, Sherry Wheeler. Jane completed Med Aid training and worked at Northern Oklahoma Resource Center, NORCE, for more than 20 years. She started as a Med Aid and later on became a supervisor.
Jane was a loving mother and grandmother who spent much of her time raising her children and grandchildren. She loved watching football games, wrestling, and SVU on TV. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, and she will be truly missed.
She is survived by her three sons, Bernard Wheeler II, James Wheeler and John Wheeler, 19 grandchildren; Mercedes Wheeler, Michael Wheeler and wife Kayli, Mirranda Wheeler and husband Tony, Mikka Wheeler, Cawin Wheeler, Caylie Wheeler, Andrew Wheeler, Matthew Wheeler, Ashlynn Wheeler, A.J. Tarver, Dominick Wheeler, Awzawntae Wheeler, Ashten Wheeler, Nyaunna Wheeler, Zakyraa Wheeler, Zakaare Wheeler, Ryan Wheeler, Elizabeth Wheeler, and Bernard Wheeler III and wife Jasmine, and eight great grandchildren; Nolyn Wheeler, Emrie Wheeler, Avianna Wheeler, Xander Wheeler, Ezra Wheeler, Braylynn Wheeler, Haile Wheeler, and Paisley Cook-Tarver.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents Carlos and Helen, husband Barnard, one sister Mary Ann Hickey, and her daughter Sherry Wheeler.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Jane Wheeler Memorial Fund.
