A celebration of life gathering for Wanda Tappan, 84 will be 2:00 PM Monday May 9, 2022, at Graceway Baptist Church with Pastor Craig Bruyn officiating. Burial will follow at Enid Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Wanda was born August 11, 1937 in Calument, OK to Dallas Alfred King and Vera Veda Pollard King and passed away on May 4, 2022 in Enid.
She graduated from Kremlin School and did one year of business college. She was a retired pre loader for UPS. Wanda also worked at Raleigh Bicycle, and at Enid High School Cafeteria as a “pie maker”. She was a member of Graceway Baptist Church.
Wanda was married to Charles Dewey Tappan on March 8, 1957 in Enid, OK. They had three children, Veda Marie Campbell, Kelly Diane Underwood, Curtis Dale Tappan, and two stepchildren Jimmy Don Tappan and Sherry Ann Wilson. Thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Connie Denise, three Brothers Alfred King, Kenny King, and Charles Jr. King, and grandson Chase Donovan.
