The graveside services celebrating and honoring the life of Ida Faye Siegmann, 93, of Enid will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2022, in the Enid Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Ida was born November 4, 1928, to Fred and Ada Coppedge Lochner in Agra, Oklahoma, and passed from this life July 25, 2022, in Enid, Oklahoma.

Ida was born the youngest of ten children. She played basketball throughout her school years in Agra and her senior year moved to Enid, where she was in the top ten of her class academically, graduating with the class of 1946.

She married Vernon A. Siegmann September 16, 1948, and from this union came two daughters. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She could make absolutely anything and played the piano by ear. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed being outdoors, taking care of animals (including her beloved dogs Sashi and Pandi), sewing, making crafts and just being creative. She was a homemaker and a very giving person.

She is survived by her daughters, Janet Susan "Sue" Lyon and husband Edward, of Enid, and Sheryl A. Siegmann, of Pueblo, Colorado; one granddaughter Susannah Herkert and husband Bryce of Stafford, Virginia; one grandson, Nathan Lyon and wife Laurie, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; six great-grandchildren, Catie, Calvin, Lucie, and Teddy Lyon, and Grady and Sydney Herkert; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her nine siblings, her former husband Vernon Siegmann, and one grandson, Clinton Vernon Siegmann.

Memorials may be made in her honor to Enid SPCA with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Condolences and special memories may be shared with the family online at www.Brown-Cummings.com.
