Freda Mae Qualls
June 6, 1931 - October 26, 2024

The graveside service for Freda Mae Qualls, 93-year-old Enid resident is 2:00PM Friday, November 1, 2024, in Enid Cemetery. Rev. David Robinson will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Freda was born June 6, 1931, in Mount Ida, Arkansas to Starlon and Rilla (Forga) Smith and died Saturday, October 26, 2024, in Greenbrier Skilled Nursing. She attended school in Mount Ida.

On September 3, 1948, she married Eston Qualls in Mount Ida and the couple moved to Enid in 1952.

Freda was a long-time member of Abundant Life Church. She was a master-gardener and was taking care of her own lawn and garden until two months ago. She enjoyed crochet and taught her granddaughters to crochet as well. She was an excellent cook, famous for her green-bean casserole and for making each child and grandchild their favorite pie for each of their birthdays.

Freda mostly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her three sons: Gary Wayne Qualls and wife Sue, Terry Dale Qualls and wife Beverly, and Jerry Lee Qualls and wife Joy, all of Enid. Grandchildren, Brandi Renae Qualls, Jason Matthes Qualls, Christopher Michael Qualls, and Tyler Joseph Qualls. Several Great-grandchildren and one sister Imogene Farris.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eston, two sisters: Ava Marie Smith and Eva Conelia (Smith) Fryor, and one brother Clarence William Smith.
