Betty Jean PHILLIPS

Enid Cemetery

February 13, 1961 - November 06, 2021

The Home going services celebrating and honoring the life of Betty Jean Phillips, 60, of Enid, will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday November 12, 2021, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Norris Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Betty Jean Phillips was born on February 13, 1961, to Hattie and Amos Phillips, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma and passed away peacefully on November 6, 2021, in Enid, Oklahoma.

Betty spent her childhood with family and loved ones and really enjoyed spending time with her grandparents in the country. After her time in high school, she joined the workforce and worked at various places. When she found NORCE she found her home. She spent 25 years taking care of others.

Betty's biggest accomplishment was being a mother. She always wanted to be a mother and she was blessed with three beautiful daughters.

After all was said and done, she retired from the State of Oklahoma and was able to become a full-time Nanna!

Betty leaves to cherish her memories, one brother Marcellous Phillips (Nancy) of Enid, three daughters LaVera Williams Bailey (Kevin), of Broken Arrow, Tonya Dixon (Shannon) of Conway, Arkansas, Samantha Matthews, of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren, Darrius Brown, Jaylan Dixon, Via Brown, Elijah Williams-Bailey, and Lukas Dixon; four nephews and three nieces, great nieces and nephews, one aunt Willa-Mae Jasper and a host of cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hattie and Amos Phillips; one brother, Virgil Phillips, and both her maternal and paternal grandparents.

On behalf of LaVera, Tonya, and Samantha we would like to express a magnitude of gratitude to Marsha. Marsha, we thank you for every ride, every laugh shared, and every moment you gave to make sure our momma was okay, we love you and we appreciate you.

Condolences and special memories may be shared with the family online at www.Brown-Cummings.com.
