August 7, 1953 - January 20, 2024
The family graveside service celebrating and honoring the life of Jim R. Painter, 70, of Enid will be held privately in the Enid Cemetery. Services and complete cremation care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A Life Celebration Home.
Jim was born to Jimmy E. and Frances Painter on August 7, 1953, in Enid, OK. He was raised and educated in Enid, graduating from Enid High School in 1971. On May 26, 1972, he married Sandy Fisher in Enid, where the couple made their home. He enjoyed fishing and Cubs baseball, but his true source of enjoyment was his family. He especially loved attending all of his grandchildren's events. He faced life's obstacles with dignity and a positive outlook. He had a special way of surrounding his family and friends with humor, understanding, and love.
He is survived by his wife of over 51 years, his three children; daughter, Kapri Adolphson and husband, Gary, their children Auston, and wife, April, Dalton, and Alexandra, and grandchildren, Aidyn and Walker, son, Joshua Painter, and wife, Nicole, and their children, Hudson, Kingsley, and Landon, daughter, Melissa Hunt, and husband, Dallas, and their children, Taye and Tallas, his sister; Cindi Robinson, all of Enid.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sarilyn Sanders.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fish Fisherman's Club with Brown-Cummings acting as custodians of the funds.
