Rosalie C. Osburn

Memorial services for Rosalie Osburn, will be 2:00pm Friday, September 2, 2011 at Willow Road Christian Church with Pastor Carrell Still officiating. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Rosalie was born February 23, 1933 in Marshall, Oklahoma to Thurman and Leah (Atkins) Craig and died August 29, 2011 in Oklahoma City. She resided in Douglas until after graduation from high school in 1951. She then moved to Enid and worked at Marquise Studio until 1956.
On January 1, 1952, Rosalie married Ernest Osburn. They moved to Ponca City in January 1957 where they were members of Woodlands Christian Church. Ernest worked for Nichols Machine Shop for 15 years and Rosalie worked at different grocery stores for several years. In 1972, they moved back to Enid when Ernest was transferred for his work at an insurance company. Rosalie worked for six years at United Supermarket before taking a job at Enid State School (NORCE) in 1979. She was there 17 years before making the decision to retire in 1995. She continued to work, however, babysitting for others. In 1997, she went to work for Integris Bass Baptist Health Center where she remained until 2002.
Rosalie was a member of Willow Road Christian Church in Enid since 1972.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and three brothers.
Rosalie is survived by her husband, Ernest; two daughters, Mrs. Chuck (Glynda) Barnes of Ponca City; Mrs. Michael (Sandra) Johnson of Enid; one son, Dennis Osburn of Enid; sister, Mrs. Earl (Thelma) Osburn of Tonkawa; brother, Robert Craig of Ponca City; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given through the funeral home to Willow Road Christian Church.
