Thelma L. Evans
August 6, 1929 - January 20, 2011

Funeral service for Thelma L. Evans, 81, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2010, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the kind guidance of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

She was born Aug. 6, 1929, in Kansas to Leo and Vina Dunbar Ward and passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at Greenbrier Nursing Home.

She was raised in Kansas. Thelma married Donald B. Evans Feb. 1, 1949, in Newkirk, Okla. He passed away Oct. 31, 2009. Thelma was a foster grandparent for Monroe Elementary and Waller Jr. High for several years.

She is survived by her children, Sue and Frank Neal of Enid, Barbara and T.W. Struck of Holiday, Texas, Gary and Janet Evans of Duncan, Okla., and Mark Evans of Enid; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Steven; and two brothers, Earl and Arthur Ward. Condolences may be e-mailed to ladusauevans@sudden linkmail.com. (Submitted by family
