Marietta Ellen Doty

In the comforting light of our memories, we gather today to celebrate the life of Marietta Ellen Doty, affectionately known as Mari. Born on November 18, 1957, in Enid, Mari's journey through life was one filled with laughter, love, and a sprinkle of mischief. She left us on December 1, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and joy.
Mari was a beacon of positivity, the kind of person whose smile could light up a whole city. Her beautiful soul radiated kindness and a genuine zest for life, always bringing an uplifting energy to those fortunate to be around her. While she was deeply spiritual and grounded in her Christian faith, Mari also knew how to have a good time. Her playfulness and goofiness brought endless joy to her family and friends.
Throughout her life, Mari experienced love in its many beautiful forms. She first married Jeff Shaw and together they brought two wonderful children into the world, Josh and Jamie. Later, Mari found love anew with Ron Doty. They married in 1997 and spent 27 wonderful years together, filled with countless adventures and shared laughter.
Her family was the heart of her world, and she leaves behind a large, loving circle that will cherish her memory forever. Surviving Mari is her devoted husband, Ron Doty along with the loving Doty family and her children: Josh Shaw, Jamie Shaw, also survived by her beautiful grandchildren Malayna Shaw, Samuel Robert Shaw, Malachi Shaw, Marah Shaw, Shelby Bender Corisa Young, Damien Post and their mother (Tara post) Each child carries a piece of Mari's spirit, ensuring her vibrant legacy continues to shine.
As Mari always believed life was a celebration, her family intends to honor her memory with fond stories and laughter. Her cremation took place in Fairview, Oklahoma, and she will be laid to rest with Elvin Wheeler, Geneva Wheeler, Bernie Wheeler, Stella Epp, Judy Height, at the Enid Cemetery Tuesday December 10th 2024 at 2:00 pm a final homecoming to the place where her life's journey began. She lived a life full of grace, mischief, and unwavering faith, forever remaining the heart of our cherished stories.
