Gloria Jean (Breed) Bouziden
Thursday, May 3rd, 1934 - Monday, September 11th, 2023

A Celebration of Life for Gloria Jean Bouziden, age 89 years, of Enid, will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Emmanuel Baptist with Reverend Dan Heath officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, September 17th.

Gloria "Jean" Bouziden was born in Enid on May 3, 1934 to George & Essie (Lewellen) Breed and was welcomed by her Savior on September 11, 2023.

She graduated from Enid High. Jean married, Ret. EPD Sgt. Bill Bouziden on December 4, 1951. She worked as a telephone operator for S.W. Bell; a clerk for Davis Paint; medical records clerk for St. Mary's, as well as for a pathology lab and was a grocery clerk. She was a charter member of Emmanuel Baptist and a long-standing member of the Praisesingers Choir. Jean was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Jean was a breast cancer survivor and caregiver to her parents, parents-in-law and her husband during their lengthy illnesses. She was a people-person, loved to sing, read and was generous to those in need. Her faith equipped and encouraged her for many life challenges.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Essie Breed; husband, Bill Bouziden; step-mother, Elva Breed; her sister, Wanna Lou "Scotty" Breed; and parents-in-law, Violet and Sam Bouziden.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Connie Hood and husband, Ret. EPD Capt. Jim Hood; and son, Ret. EPD Sgt., Mark Bouziden, and wife Esther. Her surviving grandchildren are Meagan and Tanner Claborn, Jamee and Chris Carpenter, Chris and Callie Bouziden, and Heather Bruning. Seven great-grandchildren also surviving Jean are Carter, Caitlin and Claire Bouziden, as well as Kaylee, Samuel and Lyric Claborn.

Memorial contributions in Jean's name may be made to the Enid SPCA or the Susan J. Komen Foundation with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
