Eva Lee was born March 28, 1931, to Ralph James and Helen Lena (Cornelsen) Loucks, in Enid, and went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, October 12, 2021. She was the 7th of 9 children, (Laoma, J.D., Nadine, Virgil, Chester, Ralph, Eva Lee, Helen, and Bertha Mae). She was a sweet little girl who went barefoot in the summertime.
Eva Lee attended Emerson Junior High and graduated from Enid High School in 1949. She worked at Sanford Stunkel Drug Store for a couple of summers; then sold shoes for Kay King Shoe Store. She then worked at Enid Paper Company, for a short time, and later worked at Bell Telephone, where she was a switchboard operator.
She met the love of her life, Eugene Baltimore, and they married on February 22, 1953. After raising her family, she went to work at the Raleigh Bicycle Plant when they began operations in 1973 until they closed in April 1977. She really enjoyed working there.
She was the absolute best Mom in the whole world and a wonderful homemaker. She was always baking something special for her family. Eva Lee was most famous for her chocolate chip cookies, banana nut bread and fried chicken. She was a member of Emmanuel Enid Church.
Eva Lee is survived by her daughter, Cindy Batchelder and husband Rick, of Enid; three grandchildren, Tammy Bynum, Brian Baltimore, and Bobbi Jo Jackson; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Bertha Mae Thomas and husband Harry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, Eugene P. Baltimore; son, Eugene P. Baltimore, Jr.; granddaughter, Ann Baltimore; and seven siblings.
Memorial contributions in Eva Lee's name may be made to Emmanuel Enid Children's Ministry, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
