Recent Deaths
Funeral services for Mrs. Viola E. Wegmiller, 84, were held at 2:00 pm Sunday in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Kious officiating. Burial followed in Douglas Cemetery under the direction of Henninger Allen Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wegmiller died in a local hospital early Friday morning following a lengthy illness. She was born June 20, 1902 on a farm in the Fairmont-Douglas area to Fred and Zella Cox Rehwalt. She graduated from Douglas High School. She married Fred Wegmiller and he preceeded her in dealth on January 8, 1957.
The family had lived in the Enid area since 1942. Viola was a member of the Christian Union Church and the Senior Adult Sunday School class. She was preceeded in death by a sister. Freda M Vogt.
Survivors include a daughter Mrw. Robert (Peggy) Stramp, Midwest City OK; a son Bobby and wife Judy K. Wegmiller of Enid; 6 grandchildren; 3 great granchildren; a sister in law Mrs. Rose Edwards of Enid and a nephew Bill Clodfelter of North Hollywood California.

Fred Wegmiller, 58, died early Tuesday morning at an Enid hospital after an illness of three months. Services are pending at the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home, Enid.

A native of near Bern, Switzerland, Mr. Wegmiller came to this country at the age of seven, settling first in Illinois. In 1908 he moved to a farm near Fairmont. He lived in the Fairmont and Douglas communities until 1942 when the family moved to Enid where they lived since.

Mr. Wegmiller was a member of the Fairmont Lutheran Church and of the Modern Woodmen of America.

He is survived by his wife, Viola, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Stramp of El Paso, Texas; a son, Bobby of Enid; a grandson, Ryan Lynn Stramp, two sisters, Mrs. Lena Sanders of Enid and Mrs. G. L. Edwards of Mulhall.
