Funeral service for Thelma Irene North Webb, 89, Enid, is 11 a.m. Friday, November 24, 2017, in the Christian Church of The Covenant with Pastor Pat Sutherlin officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Douglas, under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.
Thelma was born July 7, 1928, in Douglas, Oklahoma, the daughter of John Jacob and Ruby Cooper North, and passed away peacefully on November 21, 2017 in Enid. She was raised on the family farm at Douglas. She graduated from Douglas High School with the class of 1947. Thelma married Robert Webb in 1952, and worked as a cook in restaurants. She retired from Holiday Inn. Thelma attended Christian Church of The Covenant.
Thelma is survived by daughter, Bonnie Webb of Morrison, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Jeremy Webb and Cindy Webb; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathy Schurr of Fairborn, Ohio, Lou Geisinger of Perry, Oklahoma, and Berneita Boesch of Blackwell; brothers, John North of Henderson, Texas, Raymond North of Enid, Tommy North of Enid, and Keith North of Salt Lake City, Utah.
In addition to her husband, Thelma was preceded in passing by her parents; sisters, Nellie Jane North, Wilma North; and brother Karl Jacob North.
The family has selected, instead of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to Union Douglas Cemetery or Christian Church of The Covenant, with the Stittsworth's coordinating.
