Douglas Union Cemetery


Michael A. Moseley, 66, of Lorena, Texas passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010, in Waco, Texas. Graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Douglas Cemetery in Douglas, Okla. The Rev. Tommy Donaldson will officiate. Visitation with the family in Oklahoma will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home, Enid, Okla. Michael was born Oct. 31, 1943, in Douglas, Okla., to Jesse Moseley and Ruth (Parker) Moseley. He graduated from Douglas High School in 1961.
He worked for Cummins Construction in Enid and was a civilian employee at Vance AFB in Oklahoma. He was an Air Force and Army National Guard reservist in Enid, Okla. Mike and his wife Lavona made their home in Enid. In 1973, he went to Keesler AFB, Miss., as a crew chief for the 920th Weather Group "Hurricane Hunters" for the Atlanta Region from 1973 to 1977. He was stationed at Holliman AFB, N.M., and Barksdale AFB in La. He worked at Air Force Plant No. 3 in Tulsa, Okla., and was transferred to Chryslers Plant at TSTC in Waco, Texas, until his retirement in 1999.

Mike was a 32nd Degree Mason and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite in Gulfport, Miss. He was a member of NRA and Ducks Unlimited. Mike was a soccer coach in Tulsa, Okla., and enjoyed hunting and fishing

He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, Dr. H.G. and Olive Parker; and paternal grandparents, Robert and Jesse Moseley. He is survived by his wife, Lavona Moseley, of Lorena; son, Brad Moseley and wife Lori of Robinson; grandchildren, Cale, Celsie and Abigail; son, Greg and Jenny Barnes of Okarche, Okla.; granddaughter, Maci Cottman and great-granddaughter, Emily Cottman of Kingfisher, Okla.; daughter, Lynn Ann Barnes of Lorena, Texas; brothers, Richard Moseley and wife Mary Ellen of Oklahoma City, Okla., Philip Moseley of Guthrie, Okla.
