Recent Deaths
The funeral for Thomas L. Donaldson , 72, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Archie Klusmeyer officiating. Burial will be in the Douglas Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 27, 1924, in Fairmont to Aaron and Amy Cartmell Donaldson and died Monday June 2, 1997 in Kingfisher .
He was a graduate of Pioneer High Schooland married Wanda Gay on March 31, 1948. He was part owner of the Covington Livestock and managed the Gutherie Sale Barn.
He is survived by his wife, Wonda, of the home; two daughters, Risa Loesch of Fairmont; Jo Lynn Dowers, of Enid, one son, Thomas E. Donaldson of Marshall; four sisters, and two brothers, and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Memorials may be sent to the Bethleham Baptist Church. where he was a member.

The funeral service for Wanda Lou Donaldson, 80 year-old Enid resident, will be 3 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, three miles north of Pioneer School at 66th and Longhorn. The Rev. Timothy Dorsch will officiate. Burial will follow in Douglas cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Wanda was born Feb. 4, 1930, in Wink, Texas, to John Martin Gay and Verna Z. (Postelwait) Gay and died Thursday, April 15, 2010, in St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She moved to the Covington area as a child and attended local schools, graduating from Covington High School with the Class of 1948.
On March 31, 1948, she married Thomas L. Donaldson in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in the Waukomis area.
She was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She liked to cook and was an excellent baker. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
She is survived by her three children, Risa Loesch and husband David of Fairmont, Rev. Tom Donaldson of Covington and Jo Lynn Dowers and husband Tim of Enid; nine grandchildren, Brian, James and Tracey Loesch, Rustin, Reed, Ryan and Robin Donaldson, and Cory and Andy Dowers; one great-grandson, Graham; three sisters, Nona Lawson of Burkburnett, Texas, Thelma Jo Chestnut of Tulsa, and Joy Gibson of Buchannon Dam, Texas; and one brother, Larry Gay of Loganville, Ga.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom; two brothers; and one sister.
Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church through the funeral home.
