Carrie Nancy Lockridge Raulston passed away peacefully September 2, 2024 in DeSoto, Texas. Carrie was born on February 28, 1928 to Frank Lockridge and Grace Lockridge (Long) on the family wheat farm in Douglas, Oklahoma as the youngest of 8 children. Carrie descended from the Daugherty, Light, Lockridge, and Long families who staked their Cherokee Strip claims in Garfield County in 1893. Carrie married Bill Raulston in 1950, residing in Wichita, Kansas, and Dallas, Texas; retiring from Sun Oil Co. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Roberta Krausse (Leo), Vergaline Neil (Charles), Margaret Heflin (Irvin), Keith Lockridge (Wandola), Katherine Lockridge, Lou Jackson (John), an infant brother, former husband Bill, and daughter Jane Jones.

Carrie is survived by her children Janice Brown (Dana), Mike Raulston (Mary), and Bruce Raulston, son-in-law Randy Jones, sister-in-law Jean Lewis (Don) and grandchildren Bryan Brown, Emily Jones Hickey (Aaron), Philip Jones, William Jones, Michael Raulston, and Caleb Raulston, and 16 nieces and nephews.

Carrie delighted in hosting holiday occasions, preparing meals, handmade candies, and pies. She volunteered for school PTA activities, along with youth summer camps and choir tours at Rosemont Christian Church in Oak Cliff, Dallas. Carrie was a gentle soul, and as a selfless loving caregiver, enjoyed all the family connections throughout her long life.

Graveside Service will be 10 am Friday, September 13, Douglas Union Cemetery, Douglas, OK with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory of Enid, OK. Condolences may be made at www.ladusauevans.com.
