A Celebration of Life for Joyce Swart, 84, of Drummond, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at the Salem United Methodist Church, with Rev. Kris Mayberry and Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Interment will follow in the Del Norte Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home on Monday from 6 to 7 p.m.
Joyce was born December 8, 1932, in Drummond, Oklahoma, the daughter of Edwin and Edith Miiller Wegener and passed away January 5, 2017. Joyce attended Barr School and graduated from Drummond High School in 1950. She was united in marriage to Donnis L Swart July 8, 1950, in Drummond Methodist Church, and he preceded her in death in July 1992. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church and served as the church organist for over 50 years. Joyce will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother and for her dedication to her church.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Weese of Drummond, Mary Morris and husband Curtis of Enid; a son, John Swart and his wife Alice of Drummond; nine grandchildren, Amber Weese and Kyle Koehn, Heather Bronaugh and Joe, Brett Easter and Randy Clayton, Bradley Easter, Brianne Robertson and Scott, Caleb Morris, Eric Swart, Jared Swart and Wendy and Jennifer Swart; five great-grandchildren, Jaxon Koehn, Hunter Bronaugh, Cerenity Easter, Holly and Haylie Robertson; and a sister-in-law, Melita Wegener.
Memorial contributions may be made to Salem United Methodist Church or The American Heart Association, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home custodian of the funds.
