The funeral service for Margaret Adeline Shreve is 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, in the Puritan CongregationalChristian Church, Drummond. Pastor Matt Perkins will officiate. Burial follows in Del Norte Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Margaret Adeline Hedges was born at home on the family's farm south west of Drummond March 20, 1925, to parents Noel and Josephine Moyers Hedges. She grew up loving to be out on the tractor working the land. She graduated from Drummond High School in 1943. After graduation, she worked in Enid as a bookkeeper and tax preparer. Margaret married Dale Shreve Dec. 22, 1946. They had four children, Larry, Linda, Gary and Terry. Margaret continued working on the family farm with her father, Noel Hedges, sister Nola Hill and brother-in-law Duane Hill. She also worked at the Bank of Drummond, where she was Vice President, retiring after 31 years in 2002. Margaret also prepared taxes for many people in Ames, Drummond and Enid, for many years. Margaret was a member of Puritan Congregational Christian Church in Drummond, where she had been the organist for over 50 years.

Margaret was preceded in death by husband, Dale, who passed away in 1959, and daughter Linda who passed away in 1966.

She is survived by Larry and his wife Lynn of Drummond; Gary and his wife Mary of Drummond; Terry and his wife Danielle of Stillwater; grandchildren Lea and her husband Chris Murr of Oceanside, Calif.; Laura and her husband Dustin Campbell of Jenks; Lawrence (Will) Shreve and his husband Kevin Rowe of Washington, D.C.; Lindsey Shreve of Tulsa; Andrew Shreve of Stillwater; great-grandchildren Madelyn Murr, Henry Murr, Alexander Campbell and Rowan Campbell.

Charitable donations, in lieu of flowers, to Senior Center of Waukomis Meals (580 758-3052), in care of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
