Del Norte Cemetery


ENID, Okla. — Funeral service for Mary I. Randolph, 107, of Drummond, Okla., and resident of The Commons of Enid, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Drummond Congregational United Church of Christ, with Pastors Matt Perkins and Gordon Epps officiating. Burial will follow in Del Norte Cemetery, Drummond, under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Mary was born Sept. 19, 1906, to Ned and Lucy Cummings at the Cummings family farm, southeast of Drummond, and passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, in Enid, Okla.

She attended Drummond schools and graduated from high school in 1924.

She married Flyod Conger. To this union, William Kenneth Conger was born. She later married Ches Randolph. They resided in the Bar community for a number of years, moving back to the family farm, where she resided until they moved into the town of Drummond, where she resided until moving to The Commons.

She was a member of Drummond Congregational United Church of Christ. She attended the Ladies Aid Society, where she helped in quilting many quilts. She was also a member of the Drummond Study Club. She taught Sunday school for many years.

Mary loved gardening and had great gardens. She loved harvesting her pecans from two trees. She loved to travel and traveled to all of the United States except Alaska.

She is survived by her niece, Colleen Cardwell of Drummond, who cared for her for many years; great-nephews, Jim Cardwell of Tulsa, Okla., Doyle Hanan of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., and Keith Hanan of Los Osos, Calif.; great-niece, Tomilyn Quigley of Lebanon, Ore.; 10 great-great-nieces and nephews and numerous great-great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ches Randolph; son, William Kenneth Conger; niece, Phyllis Draemel; her parents; and two brothers.

Memorials may be made to Drummond Congregational United Church of Christ, Del Norte Cemetery or Drummond Historical Museum, with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
