SARAH ANN NOLDER
Mrs. Sarah Ann Nolder passed away at the home of George Nolder early Monday morning. The funeral was held Tuesday at the Methodist church in Lahoma and the remains were laid to rest in Del Norte cemetery. Owing to her advanced age, deceased had been in poor health for some time and her death was expected.
Mrs. Nolder was born June 5, 1823, and died December 23, 1912, at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 17 days.
She was born in Ohio and was married to Samuel Nolder in 1850. When the war broke out, he enlisted in the Union army, was taken prisoner and put in Andersonville prison where he was kept for 8 months before he died.
Mrs. Norton and her husband joined the United Brethren church in 1857. She united with the Methodist church of Del Norte when she came to Oklahoma. The cause of death was old age.
She leaves only the one child, George Nolder, but she made many friends during her long and useful life who mourn her death.
