Jake Murray's mother, south of town, aged 83, died Tuesday A.M. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.J. Hopper. The funeral is held at Del Norte on Thursday. She leaves a husband 84 years old and very feeble, also five sons and several daughters.
Mrs. J.J. Hopper was quite sick at the time of her mother's death.

J.A. Murray, father of J.W. Murray, died at 5:25 Thursday night. Interment was made in the Del Norte Cemetery.

Obituary
Jeremiah A. Murray was born in Fayette Co., Penn., April 19th, 1832. Died January 22nd, 1918, at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 3 days, his death being due to a broken leg, which was caused by his cane slipping on the carpet and breaking his right leg near his hip. This happened January 2nd. At the age of 21 he was united in marriage to Christiana Wulmer[?]. To this union was born ten children, five boys and five girls, 8 of whom are living. Two boys preceded them in death. J.W. Murray, Ames, Okla.; S.W. Murray, Curtis, Okla.; Maggie Hinecker, Ralston, Okla., William Murray, Boyd, Okla., W.W. Murray, Bever City, Okla.; Rebecca Hopper, Baxter Spring - Springer, Kan.; Elias Murray, Waterloo, Ore.; Lizzie Bailey, St. Johns, Ore.; Mrs. Hopper and husband came to his bedside, the 13th and remained until his death. S.W. Murray also attended the funeral. He made his home for the past two years with his eldest son, J.W. Murray, near Ames. Eight children, 32 grandchildren, and 37 great grandchildren and a host of friends are left to mourn his loss, his wife having preceded him July 13, 1915. He was united with the church of the Brethren in early manhood and remained a consistent member until the last. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Marney and interment was made in Del Norte Cemetery.
