ENID, Okla. — Funeral service for Helen Louise Long, 87, of Drummond, Okla., will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at United Church of Christ Puritan Congregational with Charles Kaupke and Rev. Matt Perkin officiating. Interment will follow in Del Norte Cemetery, Drummond. The family will receive friends and family from 7-8 p.m. today at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Helen was born June 8, 1926, in Ames, Okla., the daughter of Millard and Velva Hedges Provolt and died Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, in Enid.
Helen was united in marriage to Winston Long in February 1945, in Drummond. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2004.
She was a lifetime homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family and others. She also was very active in the Christian Church of Drummond and the Drummond community.
Survivors include two grandsons, Cameron Long and Tanner Long; her sister, Loretta Kaupke of Braman, Okla.; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins and a host of friends.
She also was preceded in death by her son, Galen Long, her parents, and brother, Gene Provolt.
Memorial contributions can be made to United Christian Church of Drummond, Del Norte Cemetery or Drummond Museum.
