Robert was born June 7, 1961, in Enid to Edwin Virgil Lee and Laveta Mae (Lamle) Lee, and passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016. Robert attended school at Ames High School, graduating in 1979. He was active in 4H and FFA, and enjoyed showing the pigs that he raised on the family farm. He attended OSU for a year, but decided he would rather come home and farm. He married Lisa Cooper Oct. 19, 1985, and they had three daughters together. Farming was his life, and one of his greatest joys was raising Angus cattle and growing wheat. Robert also loved watching his girls play sports, and was present and cheering them on from the stands. Robert was a member of Ames Christian Church.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Lee. He is survived by his wife, Lisa, of the home in Drummond; three daughters, Amanda Herrera and husband, Will, of Drummond; twins, Mikaela and Mikenzie Lee, of Drummond; mother, Laveta Lee, of Drummond; grandson, Kayden Herrera, of Waukomis; sister, Cynthia Detrick and husband, Gary, of Ames; two nieces, Jodi Gungoll and husband, Grant, of Meno; Hollie Kuehni and husband, Derek, of Wagoner; as well as many extended family and friends.
